CDJR Dealership Near Collinsville
Back roads and mill village streets make up a lot of the driving around here, and our lot at 175 Pelham St carries vehicles suited to those and to the highway. Any Methuen CDJR vehicle you see belongs to the full Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram lineup, with the Wrangler and Gladiator for rough conditions, Grand Cherokee and Compass for everyday use, Ram 1500 through 3500 pickups for work, the Dodge Durango and Charger for performance, and the Chrysler Pacifica for hauling people. Certified pre-owned and used models add more choice. Financing runs through our own office, and our Service Center staffs Mopar trained technicians for oil changes, brake work, and major repairs. About Collinsville
Water built this village. Beaver Brook runs through the western side of Dracut, and the mills along its banks turned a farming corner of town into a working settlement during the nineteenth century. Michael Collins took over the operation in 1851 and converted the machinery to woolen production, which gave the village its name and eventually drew the American Woolen Company as owner. That complex off Lakeview Avenue ran until after the Second World War and now holds apartments and commercial tenants.
Dracut around it carries a longer story still. The town separated from Chelmsford and incorporated on February 26, 1701, and parts of its land had belonged to the Wamesit praying town before that. Farming shaped the eastern half for centuries and still anchors local identity, with residents adopting the Community Preservation Act early to protect working farmland. Roughly 32,000 people live here now, close enough to Lowell for city access while keeping ponds, brooks, and open fields across much of the landscape.
